HOUSE LEAGUE REFEREE INFORMATION

HOW TO REQUEST HL REFEREE PAYMENT

After you have refereed a few games you can submit your game sheets for payment as follows:

STEP #1 – Complete, sign and date the Referee Game Summary Report
STEP #2 – Attach signed game sheets (White Copy) for all games submitted
STEP #3 – Drop off all documents to the AFC Office (Referee Drop off Box) for Approval
STEP #4 – Payments are usually processed within 2 week(s) of submission

Indoor season runs from November to March.

The Aurora Football Club encourages all members 12 years of age and older to consider refereeing.  Not only is it a good way to earn some income but is a great way to continue developing and participating in the game.

If there were no referees there would be no game!

2026 referee courses

You can become a Small-Sided or Entry Level referee
based on your age.

You must register and complete either the Small-Sided Referee course or the Entry Level Referee course through Ontario Soccer before you will be permitted to referee games at Aurora FC.

REFEREE UNIFORM PACKAGE:

Referees will be required to purchase their own uniform (shirt/shorts/socks), flags, whistle and red & yellow cards.

Package/uniform may be purchase from Avanti Sports but you are free to get your uniform from anywhere

2026 referee registration

– all returning referees not taking a referee course
must register with Ontario Soccer to continue refereing this year

– applies to both Certified Entry Level and Certified Small Sided Referees

Respect in Sport certification (within the last 5 years) is a requirement for referee registration

– It is highly recommended that all Match Officials / Referees review the Laws of the Game.
The current, 2025-26 International Football Association Board (IFAB) Laws of the Game.
