Aurora FC Grassroots Program Overview

Aurora FC’s Grassroots Program is designed to provide a fun, inclusive, and development-focused environment where players build a lifelong love for the game. Our approach aligns with the Long-Term Player Development principles established by Canada Soccer, ensuring that all players develop at an age-appropriate pace.

Our philosophy emphasizes the development of technical ability, confidence on the ball, and decision-making through engaging, player-centered sessions. We believe that strong technical foundations, combined with an understanding of game principles, are essential to preparing players for the modern game.

The program is structured around key stages of development:

• Active Start (U4–U5): Introduction to movement, coordination, and basic ball familiarity in a fun environment
• FUNdamentals (U6–U9): Development of individual technique and comfort with the ball through small-sided games
• Learn to Train (U10–U12): Introduction to decision-making, spatial awareness, and small group play

Across all stages, Aurora FC focuses on teaching the principles of play, helping players connect technical skills with real-game situations. This approach supports a smooth transition into the club’s competitive and high-performance pathways.
