Aurora FC’s U13+ Competitive Program builds on the foundation established in our Grassroots pathway, providing players with a structured and challenging environment to continue their development within the game.

Aligned with the Long-Term Player Development principles established by Canada Soccer, our program focuses on advancing each player’s technical ability, tactical understanding, physical development, and overall game intelligence.

At this stage, players transition into a more competitive environment where they are introduced to team concepts, positional responsibilities, and higher-level decision-making within the game.

Aurora FC teams compete in both the IModel (Regional) and YRSA District Leagues, providing appropriate levels of competition to support player development while maintaining a positive and challenging learning environment.

Key areas of focus include:

• Developing advanced technical skills under pressure

• Understanding team shape, roles, and positional play

• Improving decision-making in game-realistic situations

• Building physical literacy, athleticism, and resilience

• Encouraging accountability, discipline, and a strong team culture

Players train multiple times per week and participate in league play, tournaments, and development opportunities throughout the year.

Our goal is to provide a clear pathway for players to progress within Aurora FC, whether that be continued participation at the competitive level or advancement into high-performance programs such as OPDL.
